Art Heminger's 21H bomber flips entering turn three during the Bomber "B" Main. Mechanics were able to put things back together in time for the Bomber Feature Race, where Art finished 10th.
Todd Kimmell's 33 sprint car flips between turns three and four during the Sprint Car Feature. As track personnel worked to free Todd from his upside down car a quick flash fire broke out adding to the angst of the moment. It was quickly extinguished and Todd was removed, visibly shaken by the events but, apparently physically alright.
